First-time motherhood can be fulfilling bliss or at times a challenging reality. Of course there's the overwhelming love a new mother feels for her child. But even this doesn't come to all moms right away. Navigating the care and nurturing of a helpless infant can make a woman feel frustrated and incompetent, and at times even helpless and alone.
